The new ticketing system: Waiting without standing in line

This is how it works: Upon purchasing your ticket you will receive a personal admission number, indicating your time of admission to the exhibition. This admission number will be issued in the order of ticket sale. The time of admission, however, may vary depending on the current number of number of visitors and their respective length of stay at the exhibition.

On displays* at the Neue Nationalgalerie, you can see the position of your admission number in the „virtual line“ and when it is your turn.

Moreover, you can request to be reminded by our new SMS service prior to your personal admission time so you can spend your wainting time more flexibly. Through our ticket counter on the internet, you can also view online which numbers are currently being admitted.

Your personal admission time is printed on the front of your ticket.

Advantages:
  • You can make good use of your personal waiting time before admission to the exhibition, without having to stand in line.
  • Admission is guaranteed on the day of ticket purchase at least two hours before closing of the exhibition.
